Description

Make your voice heard at your 2020 Winter Membership Meeting!

Join your colleagues and fellow Guild members on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, for the Guild's Winter Membership Meeting at the Local, with Keynote Speaker Nikole Hannah-Jones of The New York Times as well as newly-elected Guild President, Susan DeCarava.

Nikole Hannah-Jones is an award-winning investigative reporter covering racial injustice for The New York Times Magazine and creator of the landmark 1619 Project. In 2017, she received a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, known as the Genius Grant, for her work on educational inequality. She has also won a Peabody Award, a Polk, a National Magazine Award, and the 2018 John Chancellor distinguished journalism award from Columbia University. In 2016, Nikole co-founded the Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting, a training and mentorship organization geared towards increasing the numbers of investigative reporters of color.

Additionally, we'll be celebrating our newest members from TIME Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Sports Illustrated and NBC Digital News with the Guild's Trailblazer Award.

President Susan DeCarava as well as elected members of the Executive Committee — such as Local Chair Anna Pierdiluca and Secretary-Treasurer Anthony Napoli — will be on hand to deliver state of the union reports and to answer your questions.

So mark your calendars and come discuss what’s important to the Guild, your colleagues and our industry! Moving the Guild Forward starts now.
